What NaturalReader is
NaturalReader is a long-running text-to-speech reader with a web app, mobile apps and a Chrome extension. It reads PDFs, documents, ebooks and web pages, and its paid plans add a camera scanner (OCR). The free plan includes basic voices and 20,000 characters a day with its Lite voices, but can't convert to MP3. Plus costs $9.92 a month billed yearly as of October 2026, and personal plans are for personal use only.
Why people look for a NaturalReader alternative
Mostly for the MP3. Listening inside an app works at a desk; for the car, a run or offline listening you need a file, which NaturalReader keeps for paid plans.
